My hard drive failed last month and I had to reformat a new one. In the process I lost my beloved Photoshop. I had an authentic copy but I lost the CD, so the new quest was on for searching a similar freeware.
The two that I found were:
- Picasa - This is a freeware by Google. I tried it and it works great, except it’s mainly for photo editing.
- GIMP - Yes, a highly inappropriate name (especially if you’ve seen Pulp Fiction), but is closer to Photoshop and therefore better for EC image editing.
Finally got through the whole US! So now mislabeled “retired” coins are corrected to “removed”.
I don’t think I’m going to extend this to the international coins… I can’t imagine anybody being good authority to decide on those status anyway.
Lisa pointed out during our last trade that I’m mixing retired and removed status. So I added the removed status into the database, but now I have to go through and double check all the coins that are currently labeled as retired. It’s a long process…
So far, up to Idaho are all corrected. To be continued…
Re-coded the trade list so it should run faster now. I’ve also organized it so that US coins come up first.
New and improved trade list is now available!
The trade list is now sorted by country, state, city, and location.
Corrected all the Chinese characters that were lost during the database transfer and added a few more translations.
Tried, and failed at adding a visitor counter (chcounter widget).
GatherEC.com is now the new home for 3000+ elongateds. Website development is still on its way.
