I pressed the coins from the first three machines from the American Museum of Natural History with my family when we were visiting my sister in NYC last year. This time I made a special trip to press the four coins from the new machine, as well as fill the request of fellow collectors.
It may be slow on my part, but I just realized that the designs from the new machine are for the movie “Night at the Museum”. There are Roosevelt, the mammoth bones, t-rex, and the Easter Island head.
The machines were all spread out, and it takes a while to locate all of them. Here are the new coins:

I love Disney Cruise Line quarters because they’re so rare. So I was really excited to see this one on eBay: Disney Cruise Line Sailing 1998
Then I was out bid at the last minute! ![]()
Well… it wasn’t so much the last minute as the last few hours. But the new bid was put in around 6AM and there was no way I would have been capable of putting in a new bid at that time. *sniff* Better luck next time.
Finished Massachusettes!
Lisa pointed out during our last trade that I’m mixing retired and removed status. So I added the removed status into the database, but now I have to go through and double check all the coins that are currently labeled as retired. It’s a long process…
So far, up to Idaho are all corrected. To be continued…
I used to be an avid collector of Disneyland coins, just because it’s easier than collecting WDW coins and cheaper than TDL coins. But lately it seems that I fell off the bandwagon… I’m missing most of the new coins and I’m a bit puzzled as to how to pick up where I left off again.
Anyway, here are a few more coins that I found when I was unpacking. Must have bought them last year:
New EC from Disneyland - Ursula 2002
New EC’s from California Adventure - Tower of Terror Gift Shop
New EC’s from Disneyland - Rajah’s Mint in Adventureland
New EC’s from Disneyland - 2006 holiday nickels

I can remember back in 1999, I thought just a few more months and I will be all done categorizing all my coins. That never happened… I always find new coins that I pressed or traded, so it turns into a continuous process.
